If Lindholm doesn't have an extension it's a no go, and he can't sign an extension in time to offer the 2023 1st. And it's questionable whether the Wild can afford his extension while still icing a full competitive roster.

The direction you're advocating here is one I would welcome if I was a CGY fan. The stench of Sutter will probably linger for some time but moves such as these would go a long way towards removing it.

Some very creative and feasible proposals here.

Gallagher isn't a cap dump
Gallaghers contract will end when we need that cap space
And your still giving away a 1st and a good prospect

I honestly wouldn't do gally for hubby with a 4M retention one for one simply for the length of the contract

Only way im taking huberdeau is of the flames retain 50% and take a bad contract (Not gally because hes ltir bound)
