Both of St Louis goalies had a under 900 save percentage with a 37 year old backup. Vladar is a young goalie with lots of potential that could help out the Blues weak goaltending. I think Vladar struggled a little mainly because of the team in front of him last year.

Rangers say no to Backlund unless CGY retains 50%.

Our team was worse than the Flames last season…

Hofer signed a 1 way he’ll be in the NHL next season. Unless Binnington is traded there’s no need for him, but mainly his cap hit.

(sigh)

First of all, Vladar is almost 26, and he borderline sucks. It's cute that you chalk Vladar's play up to the team crapping the bed in front of him while simultaneously being totally unaware that the Blues goalies were even more victimized by this factor last season (just for example, the Blues literally kicked/gloved/batted/deflected 30 goals past Binnington last season). Also, Greiss is long gone. Hofer (who is typically ranked in or just outside of the top 10 drafted goalie prospects in the league) will be the back-up this season. And they also have Zherenko (who is typically rated as an equal or comparable prospect to Hofer) gaining steam right behind him. That's all before we even get to Vladar's terrible contract, which the Blues have no cap for.

Frankly, asking for one 3rd for him is too much. Asking for two is insane. Asking for two from the Blues right now is just simply not happening. Gonna need to dump him elsewhere.

My thoughts exactly.... and in the slim .0001% chance we trade binner we probably sign a cheap. But i see that as more of a next summer thing if he struggles

The CBJ and Leafs trades are pure fantasy fiction. No where near enough to get the 3rd overall or Nylander.

According to Flames fans the team has one of the best bluelines in the league and yet both of your goalies had pretty poor results. Vlader had worse numbers than Matt Murray. You guys are selling a lie.

Leafs decline. Maybe if you add your 23 first they consider it.

Considering Calgary's 24 first is probably a lottery pick... Columbus still declines because Carlsson is a sure thing and next year's draft doesn't have the high-end depth.
