Hoffman is trash, and probably difficult to dump, but taking him doesn't get you into the top five. No reason for Montreal to do this.

I think AZ should look for guys in Martha's situation and asked to be paid for it. And if Washington isn't willing to do that (completely understandable), then there are other guys in similar situations, and there's no reason to burn a roster spots and a pick for Mantha instead of picking up assets taking on someone else's dump.

If they are moving picks I'd rather target guys like Sharangovich or Howden who are younger and cheaper high motor guys.

Josh Brown Is just a 6-7 D and barely moves the needle in either direction, but they are thin on D, so unless it is part of a bigger plan, it doesn't seem very likely.

Brown is perfect for AZ - bottom pair cheap not huge liability but he knows his job protect the young small skill guys, I dont want crouse or mcbain to fight let brown mix it up (and Obrien)
