Is the Girard trade good?

Lazar isn’t worth much…but we can probably do better than 7th rounder. Good depth guy that we can probably get through waivers.

I don't follow Girard very closely so I am not sure on the value but I can tell you Ottawa is not a good fit. We already have Chabot, Sanderson, Chrychrun, and Brannstrom playing LD.

The value for Girard is fine (Hronek comp). The value aside, Colorado should not trade him unless an extension for Toews is in place. Also, personally i don’t like trading him for pure futures like you have done here because those picks does nothing to win right now. As stated above, Girard is no fit with Ottawa either.

Dobson is a 23 year old, 50+ points top 4 RHD. That holds very high value. Manson is 31 years old, defensively minded and often injured, that doesn’t hold much value at all. So the gap between them is huge to say the least.

Those FA-signings and line combinations needs a lot of work as well. Look at other AGM-rosters (COL) and read the comments, that will give you a good base to start with.

Lastly, do som due diligence and you will get a feeling for other teams position of strength/weakness in no time! Have fun!

I don't know but he's zero needed in Ottawa (already overstacked on LHDs + so many options for the PP + Kleven, Thomson and Guenette who will all have to wait for injuries)
