Pens aren't giving up 14th overall to dump Granlund. Worst case scenario they just buy him out.

Add Petry and I'd consider it

Why are the Kings giving up the higher draft pick if Chicago is getting the best player in the trade?

How many capfriendly posters will be on suicide watch when Toronto doesn’t trade their first to dump Matt Murray?

By the math in this ACGM:
    If Pittsburgh 1st (14th) + Boston 1st (28th) + Ottawa 2nd (44th) = Habs 1st (5th)
    Than Habs 1st (5th) + Florida 1st (31st) + Habs 2nd (37th) = Chicago 1st
Or is the math in this ACGM a little off?

Bedard is Bedard. Why would someone need to explain this to you?

    They wouldn't.

Dubas just said he would weaponize cap space and ADD picks. This is the opposite of that.

5th OA will be Michkov or Smith.
The drop off after that is major.
So trading the 5th for the 14th pick would be equally as dumb as trading Bedard for the 5th OA pick.
Now that I explained it to you do you understand?

Michkov is the guy that will be there. He’s not Bedard, but he’s real good. Wonder if the Habs will pick him. They should. We’ll see Wednesday.

Sorry I snapped at you with my last comment, I felt like you were attacking me but I misread your reply.

I hope the Habs take Michkov
The Habs are 3 years away from competing so he fits perfectly into their window

Habs counter with picks 5, 30, and 69 for the 1st overall pick... if you cant tell, your offer is ridiculously bad.

And for those who cant tell, my offer is obviously not fair for Chicago

Mitchell is finishing up his entry-level contract with the Blackhawks. Chicago would need to add to the return to Pittsburgh. The fourth and fifth round picks would give the Penguins assets to draft quantity players to develop.

He has star potential. Sure, wait two years, but when he does come over the talk might be how he should have been drafted 2nd overall.
