Rob Blake already said that he's moving on from Joonas Korpisalo.

And sorry but that offer doesn't get you PLD extended plus Connor Hellebuyck.

Yeah COL will pass, winger is the easiest position to fill in the off season.

And now you understand deadline deals at a premium and off season deals where teams are looking to move salary as much as anything. So yeah pass on taking a winger at over $4M and trading an asset.

I could see the Avs parting with a 4th or 5th for Arvy. But LAK won't like that. Will be better options for cheaper to fill that void in COL.

Okay but who out there can you get for 4mill on a 1 yr deal who regularly scores 60 pts? This year's UFA class is pretty weak, and once you get to July 1st you have to compete with 31 other teams.

Now in 2026 hopefully that second rounder is in the 60's and I know it's a trade asset for down the road but the avs are in a winning position this year, who know where they will be after mikko needs a new deal

I’m all in on Drouin. Prove it deal, guy had multiple 50+ pt seasons obviously needs a change of scenery not all that different from Arvidsson who had 2 20pt seasons in NSH before moving to the Kings.

Drouin if you think Newhook can stick at C. Toews if you want to kick Newhook to LW. Or be patient and see who doesn't get a deal they want with the flat cap - similar to what we did with ERod. In the ERod case, really won't have a clue on who it could be until after FA kicks off.

Or see what EDM wants for Yamamoto since they need to shed cap.

One of my biggest wishes is for the Avs to keep Newhook at 3C, and give him some consistent linemates that can finish. I agree though teams are going to be looking to move cap so somebody is going to be available

As long as he gets a consistent role to develop in, I'm ok with it being 3C or 2LW. Just don't want to see him bounce around the lineup. But that requires other guys to stay healthy around him.

Drouin imo is a waste of a roster spot unless it's a PTO, and again you'll have to compete with 31 teams who could offer him a deal.. his Last 2 years were under 30pts and he left his team in the playoffs on their way to the SCF

You're paying more than a 2nd for Yamamoto

I could care less that he left his team so long as the issue was resolved. As for his production look who he was playing with. As for Yamamoto you’re crazy if you are paying more than a second you just railed on Drouin for low production and he produced more than Yamamoto last year, and even then to reinforce what I said about winger being the least valuable position Hall just was traded for a song.

The Yamamoto reference was meant for bcooke whom I also quoted. I agree with you

Drouins playing with Suzuki, dach, Anderson, caufield, armia... don't think his production would spike with nichushkin and johansen.. also he claimed he left for mental health reasons, which will be forever ongoing and unpredictable.

Hall got traded for a song, but we just got johansen for less than that. You shouldn't go into a big season like this with to many maybes on your top 6.

I usually agree with you, but in this case a 2nd for a guy who can throw up 60pts in the middle 6 and is only around for a year (when col can afford him) isn't a bad deal at all
