I'm sure there are better options but they have 3 Second round picks in a row. They would get a later pick back, plus a guy to fill out Grand Rapids and Wheeler, who is still a decent player with size.

im not familiar with the prospects in that area but is vancouver in a position to say no to losing the slightly higher pick if another team is willing to pay to take garland?

No thanks. We will wait until you buy him out if we want to sign him. Yzerman specifically said in his predraft presser he was not giving up assets for players over 27.

What does MTW mean?... lol

Thats a really good 2nd round pick, he isn't worth that to Detroit.
If he was 50% retained maybe could see a team giving a really late 2nd rounder for him but that pick is 43rd overall, don't see a team giving that up for Wheeler at full cost.

Yzerman will be harder. He's not going for any problematic guys. Wheeler isn't a thought for him.
