I doubt the Leafs make this trade... Nylander could be a Leaf killer for years if he re ups there.

Sens would be fortunate to get that from Wings, but don't understand why the Sens would give up all that for one year of Nylander.

I doubt OTT forgets the lesson they're learning RIGHT NOW with Debrincat and overpays for a pending UFA with a holdout history. Slick Willy needs to come with a reasonable extension in place.

I doubt Willy will have more value than Debrincat. Willy is clearly the better player right now BUT he is a pending UFA. Any Debrincat trade will have him extended for potentially 8 years.

I make this trade as a Leaf fan if Willy doesn't want to extend at a reasonable price. I love Willy but we can use his cap and these picks to help build out our dcorp.

Im not trading Willy to a division rival (although the deal itself in assets is fair assuming Nylander resigns)

The source saying the Islander 17 one of the 2nds and Zadina isn't credible. Ottawa has 0 leverage since DeBrincat wants to come home. Yzerman knows this and will play hardball with Ottawa.
