Description

Trouba to Detroit seems like a very good move to me for both teams. It helps New York solve their cap situation. It helps stabilize Detroit's D. Trouba would need to waive though. What would the cost be? Trouba at 8m is steep. Could it be Trouba for future considerations? I did 2 x 2nds in this AGM but I have no idea what the value would be.

Did I miss any prospects or players who really should be on Detroit next year?

I remember the 2019 trade came down to DET and NYR. What were wings offering then? I cannot recall.

Doesn't Trouba's wife's medical residency run through 2024? I doubt he waives until that occurs.

Not too sure. But Detroit and New York are decently close to each other regardless. Not too sure where she is but it wouldn't be very far.

Well, she also suffers from seizures so probably not going to happen.

According this…Jets asked for Hronek, Yzerman said no. Also didn’t sound interested in Bertuzzi.

I think that's what it would take to be honest unless the Detroit 1st comes into play. BUT I have been proven wrong many times.

Time will tell. Bergrenn + New York 1st + 3rd would be my ask if I were Ottawa. I like it for Detroit also.

Not sure that's even necessary. Cat can take his QO and play out the season in Ottawa and then is an UFA. I find it unlikely that Ottawa will get anything back that's close to what they gave up even if Cat agrees to an extension with whatever team he's traded to and virtually impossible if he doesn't.
