Sharks aren’t moving back. The way Grier talked, it sounds like theyre more likely to move up than down.

Chicago isn't doing that.
San Jose isn't doing that. They have a few bad years coming up and alot of time to gather picks. They will take elite talent over quantity any day.
I don't think Veleno is worth a third plus we should keep him. He was one of the more physical forwards we had. Especially since you signed Engvall, he's scared to hit.
Anaheim doesn't even come close to considering that trade.
Offer sheets are dumb.
Why do we need OEL?

No way exchanging 2nd round picks to move up 8 slots in the second round pays for Chiarot's $14.25 cap dump! In fact, your 2nd by itself - with nothing coming back - wouldn't cut it, either. Further, the ONE position where the Hawks have strong prospects is at LD; these kids will just start coming year into the NHL this coming season. So, in addition to all the financial shortcomings of this proposed trade, Chiarot's presence at LD would actually impair the development and growth of those kids.

Sorry... All this makes for an instant "pass" from the Hawks.

Hey man, welcome to cap friendly.

I see you are interested in Lucas Dostal. Unfortunately he is not available. Being a top 10 goalie prospect in the league, a rebuilding team is not going to let a future starter go for picks.

As much as I'd like to add Matta as Drysdale's partner, losing Dostal isn't worth the price.

Lots of attention paid to LHD in this; I’d eliminate all the trades and instead of offer sheeting Miller, I’d elect to try and snag Evan Bouchard from EDM. He’s a RHD, which we need, and it wouldn’t require all these other corresponding moves that aren’t very likely.

It's going to cost a lot more to move Ben to the Hawks

CBJ have no need for Veleno. They are searching for a 1C only. They have five guys already who can play the middle through the bottom 9: Jenner, Roslovic, Sillinger, Voronkov and Kuraly. Adding Veleno only furthers the logjam and causes unnecessary problems.
