interesting route to get michkov

3 Way Deal:
To Caps: Pick 31
To Avs: Kuznetsov, NAK
To Hawks: Mantha, Johansen, '24 6th ($2,730,000 of Kuzy)

Johansen is a promising young defenseman who is not going to see the ice in Washington. If we give Kuzy, another cheap roster player to fill out the cap strapped roster, and broker the salary deal with Chicago, I think pick 31 is more than fair value.

Chicago should be saying yes all day. Johansen could be a steal of a find if he gets a shot on the roster next year and proves himself. Also, Mantha could be a lil reclamation project to flip at deadline. Just a thought.

Mac, Kuzy, Johansen is a pretty cool one two three down the middle if you ask me

    Hawks have a huge logjam of LHD young players and prospects, they have no need for Lucas Johansen who's going on 26 years old this fall and he's not better than the Hawks current prospects/young players

    Kuznetsov is too expensive for COL now, even at 50% retention. He’s not an option.

    Hathaway at 13.5 million is too low, he probably gets league max in the UFA market

    Yeah maybe but that would be on WAS to make happen if a 1st rd pick is going their way especially considering what Hayes and RyJo returned.

    Ah, sorry my bad! With 75% retention he would be at 1,950,000M. That would actually be kinda affordable. However, i really doubt that COL goes for Kuzy but i must admit that i personally doesn’t think that he’s a fit. But hey we’ll se what happens. This is a fair price i must say.

    It was a decent attempt at salesmanship, but Mantha is a pure cap dump. He admitted he was healthy scratched because the coaching staff didn’t like his work ethic. Johansen is 25 & played 3 games total in the NHL. A 6th rounder??? That is a terrible offer from top to bottom.

    Sorry, but Hawks say "no" all day long. Literally nothing in that offer is worth $2.7m of retention for two years.
