Buffalo has no use for Driedger, and Borgen won’t get you Rosen. You might get one of the 2nd rounders Buffalo has for him though.

For the Buffalo trade, why on earth would Seattle trade the best player in the deal AND a first round pick? As a team trying to win I'm sure they'd rather have the better current NHLer in Borgen vs a prospect like Rosen. That deal makes no sense for the Kraken and wouldn't be one they'd make.

I like borgen, I would like to have him back, but if that's what pesce costs, we would be offering something better than that to get pesce. The borgen deal looks fine, borgen and a future first (which we have to assume is pick 32), for Rosen and pick 39 in what is likely a better draft. Driedger and comrie don't add anything, if anything driedger hurts the value because of his 3.5m salary, vs comrie at 1.8m. Neither is the answer for buffalo, so it's just taking cap back.
