I've been saying all along that neither would be back and look, unless something happens last second and killorn resigns, this was the right move by JBB. both players are overvalued because of winning. if they were on any middle team in the last 5 years neither would get the money they're commanding. and ONE goal is not enough for colton and killorn's value at 4.5 that he's coming off is perfect.

another great example is barbashev, before playoffs hes a 4.5 player but after hes a 6.5 player.. that's what winning does.

Lets see what fleury has until the TDL or even day. playing with cernak should help

Go after some cheaper RFA's that don't require compensation because teams are tight and use winning to your advantage to attract

Please no big swings this offseason and sign role players only. save your money.

All the TBL fans that praise and decrypt every JBB presser have been awfully quite on ACGM td. It’s almost like you can’t and won’t predict what a unpredictable man does🥳. Even though I’m glad to see JBB do something new this is still a major L again

What if a team who needs the physicality he provides (and thinks he will rebound offensively) decide to offer-sheet Jeannott? . . . maybe even in the 3-4 million range to really make Tampa sweat. Does JBB match, simply based on the price they paid to acquire him??

Devils match that offer sheet instantly. Anaheim does as well. Pretty sure if Comtais was willing to sign for $1m, he'd be signed already.

ok so if someone is qualified, that's what makes them a RFA (and compensation is a factor), if they aren't qualified then they're an UFA

why is comtois worth more and not being qualified?

Because his qualifying offer is like $2.4m. He's not worth that. For $1m, they sign him.

Comtois isn’t qualified because they don’t wanna pay him his QO. But maybe someone will, or he’ll get 1.5M+ somewhere else

its not anaheim or tampa, its anaheim or any other team... and a lot of teams will beat that offer, including contenders
