Is this fair for SEA fans? I figure it’s basically a likely late first and 2 2nds for an 8M Karlsson. If this deal is too much for Karlsson, would Jagger Firkus be more fair? As a sharks fan, I think it’s fair to get a 100 pt defenseman at 8M,even with his age, however, I’m obviously biased.

PIT & BOS say no. Doubt we'd get a 2nd for taking on Petry. Also imagine SJ is on Petry's no list. BOS isn't going to give up Lysell for that much
WSH & TOR probably say yes? those seem fair. I imagine TOR will just buy Murray out, but time is running out
Hopefully SJ can get a bit more for Karlsson than that but I'd love to see him in SEA

I’ve seen bruins fans shopping Lysell for cheaper… I thought that taking back a horrible contract in Mike Reilly, as well as a cheap and solid defenseman with Benning, and then a 4th rounder would be adequate. I can see that you don’t believe that it is

Why not? It is reported that PIT likes Kaapo, and wants to move Petry. This would let them shed about 4 million In cap for the next 2 years while providing a backup goalie. NYI just paid CHI a 2nd round pick today to takes Baileys 1 year 5 mil contract. Petry has a higher cap hit at two years. This if effectively a cap dump for PIT while getting a goalie back. The cap dump market has been set and it looks like SJS should get more than this for taking his awful contract.

I hope so, but, I think that this is being realistic. I really don’t think teams will pay more than this for him, even though he is worth far more in my opinion.

Lysell is an A tier already developed prospect, a second rounder instead of a 4th might get the deal done, but a first is more realistic

NYI paid CHI a 2nd rounder to take Bailey for 1 year at 5 mil, I figured that taking Petry for 2 years at 6.5 will get more than a 2nd round pick honestly, especially with throwing Kahkonen in (who PIT is interested in). That’s why I included the 2nd rounder. Also for BOS, I’ve seen some bruins fans shop lysell for cheap, I also know that they want to get rid of Mike Reilly, and get cheap contracts. I figured that this would be best for both teams as it would open up cap space and give them a better player at D for less and longer. If BOS values Lysell higher than I thought though I could totally see them denying this deal.

And for SEA, I think that Karlsson should deserve to be traded for more, however with his contract and age he won’t, even for retaining 14 Mil over 4 years. I think that this is a somewhat realistic package for him that both sides should I be interested.

I see, I knew that he was a good prospect just not that good. If he is truly that good of a prospect then I could totally see BOS denying this deal

Petry didn't play bad. We just want to get younger if possible. Kaapo is a HUGE gamble and has a cap hit that can't be buried. No way would PGH give a 2nd that can become a 1st with one series win but also a 4th. Usually conditions are "if they reach the SCF" or "reach the ECF". Not if they win a round

I agree that Kaapo is a huge gamble and that PIT should not go for him, however, apparently PIT has legit interest in him for some reason. I figured that because SJS could take 4 million off of PIT’s hands they could get a good or at least decent younger player in free agency, which would basically cost them only a 2nd rounder.

The "insider" who reported on the interest in Kaapo is considered by most in the burgh to be a buffoon, so I'd take it with a grain of salt. Haha

You will have to take some cap back, but I think you can get more. I would give up Liljegren, a 1st and Niemala if you took Murray and Brodie as well. At 4 million retained. That's better than his no?

I don't believe you've seen anyone on here giving Lysell away for nothing. If you have then they're even more delusional than you.

Jesus Christ someone is salty because of a mock trade haha. I’m not just making up that I saw that, plus I already addressed this in another comment so go check it out. Plus, this isn’t giving him away for nothing, it’s getting a mid round pick back, a cheap contract, and a cap dump. It’s a reasonable amount of trade value and not much of a difference as you may seem (at least for what I thought Lysell was worth from other bruins fans). I’m making mock trades for fun guy, calm tf down haha

I understand you're new here and don't comprehend how ACGMs work. You can have your fun without publishing. Once you put it out for public viewing you open yourself to critique. If you cannot handle the criticism then don't publish.

Look at all my posts, comments, etc. I take critique and have actual conversations with people in the comments, I talked with 4 other people on this post and had actual good conversations where I feel like I learned something and maybe they did too. You’re the one coming onto my post and trying to be salty, I’m simply giving a thought and basing opinions off of other mock trades and my knowledge. Just because I haven’t posted almost 1200 times doesn’t mean I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’ll agree, I don’t know everything and probably frequently get trade values and stuff like that wrong, however, that’s literally every single person on ACGM. We all don’t have a full time job as a GM and are just coming on to give thoughts and ideas about a sport we love.

I’ll handle good criticism and respond to it, like I did with yours, explains why I made the trade as I did. All you said to that is pretty much pointless bashing with no critique and no helpful advice

Okay haha, I can’t I actually didn’t know that, good to know. I really don’t keep up with my insiders other than the Sharks, and don’t know who’s credible, especially when I see someone repost it and don’t know who the original insider was
