Columbus has too many good LD prospects to trade for an old defenseman with a long contract and let the kids wither in the vine. They went for Provorov because of how short his remaining term is.

Bean is fine. Boqvist has been no where near projections. Just doesn’t make a lot of sense. They’d be better off gambling of upside with a prospect than taking either of these Dmen

Doesn't make sense for either team. Not enough return for STL. That big contract isn't good for CBJ who already have Werenski and Severson signed to big long term deals and so many young guys that will need spots.
