Yeah, Canes pass. Even if they had the cap room, which they just don't after signing Orlov and Bunting, they do not need more pass first guys. Marner isn't going to score goals. He's just not. In a Canes system that strangles offensive talent, he's just flat out not the answer

Yeah dumb for both sides. Canes aren’t interested in an 11m guy even though he’s a great player. Just doesn’t make sense for them right now.

Nylander niemela and a 1st for pesce and Jarvis (or necas, leafs have to add Robertson in that scenario though)

Canes probably wouldn’t give nylander the deal he wants. I’d they did Jarvis isn’t on the table and idk if Necas would be but maybe that’s a discussion as part of the package.

I honestly thought ne as was more untouchable, I uploaded a team with a similar trade, as a baseline for discussion, provide some feedback there

Idk if they wouldn't give him 9M flat, but I'm guessing whatever his ask is in Toronto (I think 9.5-10M), it's going to be a lower AAV in Carolina just because of the taxes.

Maybe 8x8 if he’d sign that but seems like he still would want more
