Cat wants a 8 x 8.7?! No thanks!

I don't think that DeBrincat is the kind of player Pat Verbeek is looking for -- I think that he wants either size or toughness, and DeB has neither.

Anaheim isn't gonna give what is 99% likely a top 10 pick for Cat.

From what Dreger, Friedman and LeBrun posted that Cat wants to play as close to home as possible, Last i knew Anaheim and Detroit are about 2,400 miles apart.

Not sure about that, on the recent 32 Thoughts podcast Friedman said Red Wings, Islanders, Ducks and Golden Knights were in talks with Ottawa. I think "close to home" has a different meaning when you're going to make ~$8M per year.

And Friedman feels that he'll still eventually wind up in Detroit. And supposedly Vegas is out of it. And i don't see him in Anaheim. And the Islanders already are going to have long term cap issues down the road. And adding a 8 x $8,800,000 Debrincat is going to mess them up even more.
