That's $2m retained for FOUR years too. I think that alone would cost multiple firsts since Colorado will be a contender for each of those years.

What's the point of trading Brodie to VAN if you're just going to buy Murphy? At that point doesn't it make more sense to just keep Brodie?

NSH isn't going to entertain a one-for-one trade of Saros and Nylander. They certainly aren't going to add a 1st.

Nashville trades their all-star goalie and a first while getting nylander on an immediately regrettable contract. I like nylander but he isnt going to produce in nashville like he does in toronto. Nashvilles center depth is half the quality of torontos.
