bottom six still sucks. Pens should focus on improving that rather than going for Karlsson.

Pens fans are not going to be happy with what they pay to get EK. Good luck to you and see you on the ice.

I think that the only way a Karlsson to Pittsburgh trade could work is if both California teams retain 20%. On the bright side, that package might be enough to persuade Anaheim to absorb $2.3 million. On the dark side, I don't think that that's anywhere near enough to talk the Sharks into parting with Karlsson because they're really under no pressure to do so. He's probably worth two firsts and an excellent prospect, and the retention will cost you another second. I'm with @pens1991:

Pittsburgh should focus on improving the bottom six and starting to upgrade a prospect pool that's probably in the bottom 8 in the League.

Add in a Granlund buyout and use the 4MM to bring in more depth

I don't think ANA would even consider that, they have such a young team with Zegras and Terry most likely about to take the remainder of their cap, they wouldn't want $2M on the sideline for 4 years.

My prediction is Karlsson goes no where this summer, regresses back to the 60-70 point range and they trade him next summer for far less. He's also another injury bug candidate, don't think anyone's even factored that in. Play 100% this year, 60 % in 22, 92% in 21, 80% in 20. 65% in 19. There is a higher chance he misses 10 games than not.
