I think that the only way a Karlsson to Pittsburgh trade could work is if both California teams retain 20%. On the bright side, that package might be enough to persuade Anaheim to absorb $2.3 million. On the dark side, I don't think that that's anywhere near enough to talk the Sharks into parting with Karlsson because they're really under no pressure to do so. He's probably worth two firsts and an excellent prospect, and the retention will cost you another second. I'm with pens1991:
