Calgary won't be trading Lindholm or Hanifin for another team's cap dumps and unwanted rejects.

No team can have retained salary for more than 3 players on the books either and Arizona already has 1. Even if they had all 3 retention slots free it'd cost more than a pair of 3rds.

I know Toffoli for Shango and a 3rd was probably a bit low but Conroy would have to go into exile in the deep north to get away from the backlash of this one.

Canucks fan here. Zero chance the flames do this deal.

Vancouver - Hanifin and Lindholm would cost the Canucks JT Miller + one of the following
Option A: one of (Podkolzin, Hoglander or Raty)
Option B: Myers at 50% retention + 1st round pick.

But I doubt JT Miller waives his no trade to leave Vancouver. And I question Vancouver trading for Hanifin if he does not want to extend in Canada.
It would be great to see this kind of trade as it would pump up the rivalry...
