Boredom

Created by: igbpv
Team: 2023-24 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 7, 2023
Published: Jul. 7, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Boqvist is a great forechecker and the pens have gotten away from that a bit, Suter is a very good PK/Dzone guy that could have more offense to give, Zadina would start the year in the AHL and hope to get a shot this year or next. Bear is a very solid third pair guy that should match well with Jones or Smith. This roster also leaves about 3.5 mil to make call ups for injuries or make an in season trade to buff up the roster if needed

the boredom will continue I think. It took Grier 3 weeks to work out the Meier deal with Fitzgerald. So interpolating that to how long the way more complicated Karlsson deal will take then we're probably into next season already

Even if Flames aren't rebuilding they would never consider taking on that contract

No one I mean no one is paying for Bryan Rust and his horrendous contract let alone give up a 1st round pick.

I saw someone do a flames one that the pens got Ruzicka, a prospect and a 2, can’t remember the other player. His contract isn’t bad either. He’s a 50 point top 6 guy that plays in all situations for about 5 mil, it’s not necessarily a steal, but it’s not like Granlund who’s getting paid about the same to be a traffic cone.

Rust is 31 and signed until he's 35, if Calgary wasn't willing to commit to the much better player in Toffoli they certainly aren't going to yave any interest at all in Rust

Detroit have a full roster on defense and don't want any more players.

Detroit has already pushed Chiarot back to the right and a 4th for Rutta is more than enough.
