Just sign Nylander to 9.88 x 8, I don’t get why this is difficult. I’m sure he would sign that no issue.

The year his and Matthew’s contracts kick in there will be no cap to resign players like Bertuzzi, Domi or whatever replacements.

You’re telling me that LA wouldn’t attempt to get a player like Nylander that would significantly boost their team for years to come and all they give up is a dman they just signed a pick and a rental? I’m not saying that they would jump all over it but it’s not a significantly bad trade.

We already do, his name is Adrian Kempe and he’s signed at about half the price of your suggested contract. Between Fiala, Kempe, Arvidsson, Kaliyev and their center depth. Why do they need Nylander?

Given their own cap constraints plus the fact they just signed Gav to an extension with an NMC, yeah I’d say this trade is extremely unreasonable. Value aside.
