Kane would be super sweet on the third line with Colton and Wood creating havoc allowing him to be a play driver and having a play driver on each of the top 3 lines or even allowing Lehkonen to drop down with RC and MW and just having 2 insane forechecking lines but when is he ready to play?

Avs are probably waiting out the market. Similar to E-Rod last year, I would expect them to add 1 more forward around September. Or give a few guys that don't get contracts PTO's.

Virtanen was a completely separate issue.

Again I stress the players noted above are ALLEGEDLY involved. Nothing proven to date. These are the only players to not publicly release a statement to claim no involvement in the matter.

Not to pour gas on the speculation fire, but you have to imagine Cale has at some point told CMAC and Joe the names of the players they should stay away from.

I think Heinen is a great fit for this team but we are DEFINITELY waiting to get Colton done before anything else happens.
