Cant see why colorado would make this trade, if you switched the prospect to a stronger one then it would make sense but as is it doesnt help the avs.

I think the only reason colorado really moves franky would be to clear a mil in cap space for a bigger move up front, comrie is making 1.8 so not really much of a point for colorado to downgrade from franky to comire

Exactly. I would honestly do this trade in a heartbeat if we didn't have to take Comrie back in return. Franky had a couple good seasons, but I fear he's already past his prime and injuries are going to be an issue. To get a 3rd and a prospect for a 32-year old backup would be a huge score for us.

I might like that trade for Colorado but it's a little late to find a good backup like Franky and can't see them doing that

Could explore options like Vladar, kahkonen, Hart, Lyon, Vejmelka at TDL if Comrie isn't up to par or Georgiev injured

I guess maybe? Honestly, if the Avs are gonna dump camp, we are gonna DUMP CAP. Even if you retained, we're still on the books for about 1 mill and we need all the space we can get. If we dump Franky it's because we want our guy Annunen up on the big squad, so frankly we don't have a spot for Comrie.

Why do people keep dumping their unwanted players on Edmonton? Their roster is pretty much set and once they sign their RFA's they'll have no cap space left.

Cheap upgrade to Desharnais. Honestly just thought EDM had a hole there on 3 RHD and thot it'd be a good fit

Desharnais is their 7D though. And your guy's cap hit is nearly double.

Broberg likely plays 3RD.
