Bailey has zero #grit and MC bout to get suspended. Suter also no grit. There's not really anyone left who could be top six. IMO if Drouin fails, they move Colton there and backfill internally.

I'm guessing once Colton signs, Meyers & Malgin immediately sign and CMac is done.

Patrick would be the ultimate PTO bet but talk about a guy that can’t stay healthy.

I think the only way Drouin doesn’t produce at a top 6 level is if he isn’t healthy because he has always produced when he plays. I’m excited to see what he brings especially with the ability to tap into his MacK chemistry.

Would love to see Patrick get a chance and find some health. Comtois for sure. Suter I think you just sign if you can. Same with Foote. I'd also look at Gregor, and maybe Tierney as a vet you can send to the AHL and call up if needed.

I don't think the Avs can afford to do that; they have nobody they can backfill with from the system - they sure as hell aren't going to thrust JLF into that role unless their are a lot of injuries. They'll play Drouin in the top six until the season is over or he gets injured. They need to sign someone that can score a few goals to hedge against injuries in the top six, someone like Suter who also PK's, can play at C and is sound defensively.

Theirs a chance that MC doesn't get in any trouble however I doubt it... but bailey doesn't need to have grit when absolutely everyone but drouin they picked up this year has grit in spades..

Probably add another 200k to that Colton deal. Even if MC doesn't get suspended......that's a pass from me. I would be shocked if the front office hasn't already sat Cale down and asked him which players to just avoid from that WC team.

Haven't ever really left the sexual assault thing. Investigation is close to wrapping up (apparently) and MC, Batherson, Formenton and I think one or two others have yet to officially make statements. Again, I really feel like Makar has already told management who to avoid.

Ah gotcha. Nah yeah we're still on this. Now that Hockey Canada has got its new leadership in place my guess is they'll announce something before camps start.
