Continuing the mystifying pattern of decent players signing for less than their Qualifying Offers. With only $29 million in cap space, I'm glad we saved $61,625 on him.

What I find odd is that the first year is a two way deal, hinting that Dostal may in fact start in San Diego to stabilize the backend and be the third goalie again.

Then the question is, who is Verbeek bringing in?

He didn't take a cap dump last season, I have a difficult time believing he will this year, especially without the pressing need to hit the cap floor.
