Agreed. Also the isles are pretty attached to Cizikas and probably wouldn’t want to trade him anyway.

Not gonna lie the metro is pretty solid this year with a lot of competitive teams there is a solid chance isles don’t make playoffs and that 1st becomes a lottery pick which could be big for bostons futures

I’m assuming the only team from last year that misses the playoffs is Boston

The money doesn't work anyway. Isles would need to move out more $$$ than Zeek to fit DeBrusk under the cap.

Tbh I’m less worried about the isles than most. Just like I was last season when they lost Barzal, Pelech and Wahlstrom to injury and still made it.

I'll breathe a little easier if Parise decides to not retire. A top 9 of:
27-14-13
18-29-21
11-44-26
is pretty solid. If Parise retires and they have to replace him with Fasching, Gauthier, and/or Holmstrom, it's very likely a downgrade.

That’s fair, but I like Gauthier as a bottom six winger and I’m a fan of Holmstrom too. Holmstrom shows flashes of higher end skill, but it’s a consistency issue rn.
