I imagine with the cap situation Toronto is in at the moment a team would be able to pull a deal for much less to get them cap compliant.

Maybe but they are cheap contracts so a lot of teams can fit them. I certainly don't think it'll take a 1st.

Even with another defenseman moving they don't have room for Girard because he's top 4 and we don't have room for top 4.

Interesting offer to the leafs… I think jarnkrok himself is worth a 2nd and timmons is aswell. Value is definitely ball park for sure

Only way I see it happening is if we are sending Barrie back to COL at the deadline with retention and Girard is part of that deal. Not likely, but only way I see it happening when thinking about it as a thought experiment.
