Carter isn't waiving his NMC for SJ. Not that Grier would want him. And it doesn't sound like Petry is waiving his NTC for SJ either. Going to be tough for Dubie to acquire EK65 without Petry going the other way. 3.5 mil retention is a realistic number. Don't think it'll be higher than that.

Absolutely 0% chance of either Carter or Petry waiving for the Sharks, You'll need to trade Petry to another Eastern Conference team. And good luck with that.

Carter liked LA, I think there's a chance

Not sold on SJS being on Petry's 15 team NTC, can think of 15 worse options

Carter's not moving. Petry's list has all the Canadian teams on it, so there is a good chance SJ isn't on it.

Petry isn't waiving from a potential cup contender and that's if Pittsburgh gets extremely lucky this year. To a Sharks team that's in a massive rebuild.

The Canadian teams only cover 7 of his 15 team no trade clause. He wants to stay around Michigan with his family, so my guess for the rest of his list would be:

Jeff Carter F you pay me to be in the press box then I'm not moving my family. Being he has the FULL NMC Dubas has zero leverage can't waive him can't send him to Scranton. All he can do is healthy scratch him and pay him.

Not a bad guess, but I'm willing to bet that Col and LV aren't on it.

I was thinking Fla, TB, Car, Dal, AZ, Sea, Anh, and CBJ... also could include SJ, LA, or Phi
