The leafs would much rather keep Nylander than take on 2 cap dumps

These are awful for the Canucks. Not trading 2 1sts + 2 top 6 wingers for Nylander and an aging, declining Brodie then signing Nylander for as much as Pettersson

Would rather have Beauvillier over Mantha

Definitely not giving up anything of value for Dvorak, let alone a 2nd and a 3rd

The Canucks would much rather keep two 1st round picks and two top 6 wingers rather than trade them for a pending UFA asking for too much money and a cap dump

Rage. Anger. Everyone is a cap dump. Nobody has any value. Contracts are all terrible. All players are elite and horrible. You're better off trading everyone away and keeping everyone where they are.

Nylander had more goals than Boeser + garland combined, at a cap hit which is ~$4M lower 😂. Boeser & garland are overpaid middle 6 wingers. Leafs decline

Boeser and Garland are not too 6 forwards. One is a decent middle 6 guy but makes too much (Garland) and the other is a one dimensional pylon who is dreadful defensively and can't skate (Boeser). Keep them

Anyone who says that the deal sucks for van is wrong for these reasons

35 goals between boeser and garland, nylander had 40 so there is a gap there.

Brodie is a top 4 RD - only reason he would be moved is Treliving doesnt like him he has value.

Timmins could be someone who knows.

leafs are taking on 11.6 mill in cap for 2 seasons in 2 players who will perform worse than the guys they are trading.

Van is taking on 11.9 which all expires at the end of the season.

so van is moving cap space long term and that is worth something.
