keefe is gonna love his shutdown line. swap between gio and meloche to keep both fresh and ready. running brodie-moloche when he sits. we get to re-sign our ufas next season and possibly drop brodie to get pesce if hes available. we down grade shorterm and get picks w freedom to re-balance our line up next off-season while still having a good team. i think this group has all the tools to get it done if they stay healthy

If you got a great second line c (wennberg) why did you put him on the left wing, put kampf down one put wennberg 3 line c and put sam on the left, and pit homes up one, that would be perfect personality

kampf is better on draws than wennberg, and we gave too much money to kampf to let him carry reaves

If you’re just going to playWennberg on the wing you might as well play Brandon Tanev there instead for cheaper and get better results

You could move Tavares to the wing and run Wennberg as #2 center
Also in the ducks trade I think you could get a pick or two back

Yeah, there is no chance that the Kraken do that. One thing about Francis, whether it be for better worse, is that he doesn’t go swinging on big blockbuster trades like that, especially extreme overpayments in this case. Nylander isn’t returning the equivalent of 3 firsts + from any team in the league.

As for the Canes trade, why? Lily doesn’t solve any of the problems the Canes have, and frankly, hasn’t shown that he is even worth that price tag.

My favorite part of this is just the pile of players being dumped on Anaheim's doorstep. It's like me taking my bag of clothes meant to go to the thrift store and just throwing it on my neighbors porch. "Here you go, have a look at all of this and take what you want. BTW it's all your problem now."

Wenns is one of two jerseys I have, so I'm here for a little Wennberg appreciation!

Jackets would take that Peeke trade, and I also appreciate not just doing a Peeke <-> Liljegren swap. I don't know that the Canes take that, but if they were on on Karlsson and DeAngelo, Liljegren could be a cheaper option.

I don't think ANA takes that deal, though. They still have to sign Terry and Zegras, and although Steeves might be good there's not a ton of enticing futures there for them in that package, even if there is quite a bit of value.

Horrible for Seattle. Such as silly fantasy about Nylander guaranteed to resign. Awful for the Leafs on the Liljegren/Peake exchange.

tanev is a physical and reliable 20 goal guy. timmins is a 5.ppg RHD dmen, steeves is a NHL ready prospect, the package has value. its not garbage

Oh no it's not garbage at all, there's just zero chance they would want all of them and you're giving all of that cap for them to figure out what to do.
