Murray is not on LTIR.
Seattle doesn't have the cap or the desire for that trade......two upcoming UFAs. Why do so many Leaf fans have no respect for other teams cap.
Think it's a poor idea to obtain EK IMO, but that's subjective.

we would only want EK65 if that doesn't involve losing our top d prospect and Liljegren who can possibly develop into a top 4 player

Murray has already bought a ticket to Robidas Island. His departure is in mid September.

As for the Seattle trade, the Leafs get the better defenceman and the Kraken get the way better forward so it's an even trade that works for both sides. I think both sides can make a deal similar to this one.

And EK is a gamble no doubt, but so is paying Matthews close to 14 million a year and Marner 11, two guys who have not lived up to their salaries in the playoffs. But teams make bets on superstars with the hope that they'll eventually figure it out. EK is getting up there in age but he wants to win and he's a beast in the playoffs.

What don't you understand about the cap. You've traded 12m to the Seattle they give back just 5.45. Sorry, that trade is homerism at it's worse.

Its clear there exists a desire to acquire him, they wouldn’t have been talking to him otherwise.

Highly, highly doubt he goes to Toronto anyway. If he does, it would have to include Nylander coming back to San Jose according to multiple reports.

theres not desire for the leafs to get him. Karlsson has spoken to the leafs but zero reports in leafs making any real talks for him

Its Toronto Magic. they can will anyone onto LTIR and no one will ask any questions. They also dont seem to understand that the Robidas island plan that they love to quote was essentially outlawed in the last CBA. I'll start a rumor Tavares will go on LTIR for all of next year to clear out even more room.
