Flyers have no need for Lyubushkin, so if this is a cap dump or contract dump you'll need to offer draft picks alongside it, like a 2nd or 3rd or something.

Why would the Sabres do either trade. Rather just keep the younger player in Joker.

Umm are you two serious? Lybushkins a solid bottom pair guy that plays with an edge coming off a bad year. I would think you would see trading a 27 year old ahl guy for a roster ready right side dman would be worth it even if only to flip him or another guy at the deadline.

We already have too many defensemen. If he’s a solid bottom pair guy why don’t you play him? If he’s a bottom pair guy coming off a bad year and makes $3M he is just a cap dump as stated above and nobody is taking ur cap dump for free.

Flyers have enough defensmen and aren't competing this year, so we'll fill out the d core with rookies like Attard, Andrae, or Zamula instead. If he's worth the flip price why not just sell him for that price to start?

I didnt make this or sign carlo to 3.3 this year. I was looking forward to seeing lybushkin out there. Moving him off the sabres roster is pretty stupid in my opinion...but we signed two right side guys to bigger deals even though i think lybushkins a better player for the sabres roster, i imagine they're here to play. You should take advantage of our stupidity here.

We just have no need for Lyu as we aren't even near a playoff spot so trading for a vet defenseman just doesn't make sense. Lyu isn't bad but he has no room on a rebuilder that just signed Staal for vet prescence.

It isn't a matter of skill, its a matter of Lyu having no purpose on the Flyers other than being moved as a cap dump.
