Still a *little* light for Pesce, but it's close enough. There would need to be another mid round pick and maybe drop the 5th going back to Toronto

You have to take cap back if Columbus takes Brodie. They don't have the space for 5mill.

No - Canes would just keep Pesce for the year. This package just
Isn’t enough for the Canes to pull the trigger.

Brodie at the end of last year looked terrible. He carries a 5 million cap hit and is owed even more in real money for the last year of his contract. He is not getting anything close to this return, if you want to move him, you need to set your expectations much, much lower on the return you will get.

Blankenburg would probably be sent down if Brodie was signed, freeing up the cap space.

Maybe lose the 5th but with only a year left and the Cains wanting to dump his cap, I fdeel there's a deal there!

Carolina don't want to move cap... Carolina are actively trying to extend Pesce. They want to move him if he won't extend, the hold up is term. The EK situation is in case Pesce won't re-sign, not the other way around. It's such a common misconception on here

Probably a fair comment, maybe a 6th instead of the 3rd, but he would complete a nice looking back end in Columbus imo.

Thanks for the update. I still feel a first and Lilly is a good package, he has a lot of upside and ideally I would keep him as a leaf, but needs must!

Jackets are trying to get rid of RDs not add them. This would maybe be a trade at the TDL if they needed help as Brodie is 33 and has one year left on his deal. Also the return would be significantly less

If we are targeting Brodie which doesn’t make sense for us but if we decided to, he would be for free if we aren’t moving our own cap out. So a second and third is insane.
