I like that NSH trade. I think it makes sense for both teams too. NSH has a logjam at RD and the Canucks have a surplus of wingers and need all of the help they can get on D

Trading for Brisebois or Rathbone doesn't make much sense for Ottawa.

Hawks decline. They don't have a need or a roster spot for Pearson. And they aren't giving away cap space for free.

I'm fine with trading for Brisebois and Rathbone as depth pieces because I like Rathbone but I probably wouldn't give up a 4th for them, maybe a 6th.

6 mil cap hit. Sharks have 5 to spare.

Myers is a cap dump, not a salary dump. Learn the difference. It might change your life

Just because they are paying the salary does not change his cap hit .it will cost a 3rd plus or a 2 nd to take on his cap hit . Ex. Josh Bailey , Nikita Zaitsev etc.

Only fans care about cap hit where cap space is plentiful, because where cap space isn't a primary concern, GM's are more concerned about what comes out of the owner's pockets
