Pens deal won't work. I don't think they're willing to move Pickering and the Petry to MIN via SJ makes no sense for MIN. They'd probably need to move more cap anyways.

I was looking at the Wild as a possible landing spot for Petry as well, and I think they could really benefit from having him, but the cap doesn't really work out too well unless Pitt is willing to retain 1.5-2 mil.

Also what is that Philly deal? Taking two massive contracts that we don't need while giving up a really good prospect, and two 2nds, and 3 pending UFAs who will be off the books in a year

I'm not sure Ristolainen actually counts as a D-man. More like an angry speed bump 😂

So Bordeleau, 2 2nds and cap dumps for Koneny? That's a brutal trade for the Flyers.

Flyers declines so fast it’s not even funny. Why on earth would that ever get a 1st line player?

Wild would struggle to fit Petry in if Pittsburgh retained 50% and SJ retained another 50%. They're going to be right up against the cap when Gustovsson's arbitration is done and that's running a 22 man roster.

The Sharks need to retain more of Karlsson's salary. Either they add to the return to the Penguins, or the Penguins' cost for Karlsson decreases.

I would like to see them retain $4M regardless of where Karlsson goes but it doesn't seem like they care to budge on retention. They are supposedly staying at 25% i think 3.5 is the bare minimum (30%)
