That would probably do it for Winnipeg, but Boston fans won't like it.

I don't think that is the return WPG would want from BOS. I would think swap out Carlo for DeBrusk would be more what they want (i.e. a young forward to replace Scheifele

I would do that deal if I am Boston… this trade also assumes Hellybuck is on his way out the door rather than resigning.

Nope. Definitely not. One year of DeBrusk does nothing for the Jets, Winnipeg wants players with term, so any rental in the deal would carry very little value. Whereas 4 years of a top 4 defenseman like Carlo would be sought after. Although he almost certainly wouldn't waive for Winnipeg, so it's a moot point.

Definitely a good point on term. I should have mentioned an extension as part of the deal, which I know is easier said than done

I don't think so we've needed a top 4 RD since Trouba, buff and Myers left and I doubt the Jets have much interest in Debrusk, I personally don't I like this deal more with Carlo than Debrusk

You’re not getting Carlo and Swayman for a 30yo rental center that doesn’t know the meaning of defense. I wouldn’t give up either of them for him
