Winger depth is very good, goaltending is good, everything else needs work though.

they were 9th worst last year, durzi (24yo) = ghost, soderstrum (22yo) > nemeth, valimaki (24yo) & moser (23yo) were in first full year last year. still not great but not going to be worse than last year, also the F Group is much improved and should take some stress off the D.

next year AZ has 44m in cap (+8m in possible LTIR if needed) and no UFAs of note to re-sign (zucker, boyd, obrein, brown, stetcher) only RFA in F is hayton, 4 young D are all RFA

remember the name szuber - craig button raved about him (20yo).
I dont see them in the bottom few this year, plus AZ has never gotten top 1 or 2 or ever moved up in the lottery.
