That package does nothing for the Hurricanes... a top-six piece at minimum would be the asking price for Pesce

I think the canes are to the point where they'll just keep Pesce as their own rental unless they get a major forward piece in return. They're not taking futures, and not great ones at that.

Why would Carolina do this? There's nothing there worth anything outside of the 1st. Robertson is made of glass. Lilly is a fine 3rd pairing D man, but he doesn't do anything. A 2nd ain't touching the difference in value. Hirvonen or Niemala is going to be required. AND Carolina will not be the team paying for retention, so that's going to cost you extra

I could definitely see Vancouver accepting that, value is good I feel. I don't know if it makes sense for Van to invest that amount of assets into a winger with how the state of the team is now

What? It's not enough. Nylander is significantly better than Horvat who got a similar return. It's not enough for the Leafs.

Raty's value has gone down since a subpar performance in Abbotsford. Boesers value has plummeted the last few years. Even retained he doesn't add much.

So it's a first in two years (less than a first next year), a 2nd in three years (even less value), and a meh second line winger and an okay prospect. Pretty crappy returb

Canucks aren't unloading Boeser(24) with a retainer and Garland (32) to make the cap fit for Nylander never mind the rest of that delusion. Boeser has reportedly had an off year and still has ended up 24th RW stat wise, That's RW1 on 15 teams and apparently Toronto too so thanks but no thanks. Canucks however should be looking for veteran(s) for bottom 6 but, I'm thinking they are just going with what they have atm
