Is Dvo the best fit

Created by: MontysPython
Team: 2023-24 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 30, 2023
Published: Jul. 30, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Though I see Dvo as being available for trade, I don't see KH giving up on him and taking next to nothing.

Lindholm will be one of the most expensive players on the block(if Conroy had average iq(that toffoli trade looks God awful)) Columbus has more assets, and if they're going for it then they'll probably get it(which could open up another of their centermen)

Sissons is probably cheaper than Dvorak, and could very well pay off superbly.

Henrique would be my target, but he is 33.

In the end, it's going to be a very tough stretch for the Bruins and Bruins fans, and this is coming from a Habs fan-I feel bad for yall

Dvorak is gonna be a 2nd line center at best, and not a great one. You could definitely rob the Habs because he could be cheap on the market, but Dvorak won't help you push for the playoffs

If Boston is looking for a 2C or higher, Sissons isn’t the guy.

Dvorak is most suited for 3rd line duties. Gave a team depth at center. Won’t hurt you at 2,225 millions. If Kreji doesn’t come back, Boston Center line because a liability.

I'd say Henrique could do 2nd line center work, but I'm not sure how well he would do as a 1C. He wouldn't be a pylon at the role, but he also wouldn't be killing it either.

The price to get them is probably this :
Henrique w/o retention = second, w/ = first or second + good prospect
Lindholm = first + A prospect
Sissons = third
Dvorak w/o retention = third, w/ = second

I'd guess that's the ballpark

I'd think it'd have to be a combination. Lindholm and Scheifele are the only borderline 1Cs who are semi-affordable, but getting a stop-gap like Dvorak or Sissons or Henrique or even Monahan could go a long way, because I don't beleive Krejci is returning.

What about taking a chance in Jonathan Toews, Paul Stasny or even Ryan Dzingel for a cheap one year ‘center depth’ type deal? It depends on Swayman and Frederic’s arbitration hearings but there might be room!

Lindholm is the most attractive for a Bergy replacement obviously, Scheif the only other 1C here

I like Dvorak! And I think as long as he wins face offs he’ll add something to the top 6

but they'll also likely be the most sought after, and therefore the most expensive. They're probably both deadline deals too.
