It's not Misyul who'll beat Smith, it's Nemec. If Nemec looks better than Miller, Smith gets waived.

My guess is Nosek, Lazar, and Smith are the extras, leaving Tierney and Clarke to be sent down. I had Thompson as 14F before the Nosek signing, and if McLeod is suspended I'd have him over Clarke, purely because it's better for Clarke's development to play 1C in Utica than ride the bench here. If Clarke makes the team, it's because he looks significantly better than Foote, Haula, or Holtz, and while I like Clarke I don't see that as a likely scenario. Next year is his year.

This team is so good its not even fair.

It's simple: just go 10 years with 1 playoff appearance and 1 win and boom some of those picks turn out good.

I mean very broadly yes but half of our tanking years did not provide any value towards the rebuild. We really weren't able to start the rebuild until 2017. We also wouldn't be here if not for the moves Fitz made, like the Siegenthaler, Marino, Toffoli, Vanecek, and Meier trades. It takes more than just a tank.

Most of the team was artificially created so thats not what happened.

You made it sound like the only reason this team is good is because they had some first overall picks. That is a factor but they did go out and acquire Vanecek, Hamilton, Marino, Siegenthaler, Palat, Meier, Haula, and Toffoli.

Well, not me, but I wasn’t sure what you meant by “artificially.”

Yeah that was a vague term. I mean that they actually built the team and didn't "luck into it".
