That just doesn’t get it done in a Parayko trade
Drop retention, Scotty P and the picks
Switch skjei for Pesce with and extension
Then I think the blues might go after that
But I still don’t know fs

Yeees, Carolina fans does it again xD.
Pesce won’t be traded and why would you trade him just to get Parayko xD?
He’s been on a massive decline since 2019 and the loss of their true nr 1 defenseman. You are better of with Pesce for 6-7 by 8

Paryako's probably not making much more than Pesce is going to make, so why not just keep Pesce?

You are hereby unauthorized to discuss this player with such fake authority. Just for starters, to demonstrate your acquaintance with the facts, Petro didn't leave until after the 19-20 season.

Yes, Pietro left for a better team in 2020 you’re right. But Parayko has been regressing since 2019.

Ehhh what??? Vegas was not a better team until this season. And the Blues traded them the best TDL acquisition of the season, to boot.

But back to the main topic, I have just one question: how many games have you watched Parayko play in the last two seasons?

Not too many unfortunately, I live in the wrong time zone to be able to watch him. 15? Maybe, haven’t been keeping track really. His advanced stats and analytics have been gotten worse. The eye test have told me the same, but in all fairness I’m not the right person to judge him, but neither is St Louis fans

Heh. Analytics, huh? From January through the playoffs in 21-22, Parayko was #1 in the entire league in on ice GA and 3rd in on ice GF. He played at a near Norris level... with Scandella and Leddy. This past season, he played the hardest minutes in the entire league with arguably the most worthless top pairing partner in the league and was top 10 in the league in total defensive stops. Most of Parayko’s mistakes came earlier in the 22-23 season and almost all of them were made passing the puck, not defending it. And that's before we even get to the staggering volume of awful giveaways Blues forwards committed the first 50-60% of last season or factor in his PK strength.

As for who is appropriate to judge, I've seen every game he's played the last two seasons. And being a Blues fan does not inherently make me a bad judge of his play. I'm quite capable of seeing things as they are, thanks. If Parayko ever finally got a proper J-Bo replacement, suddenly everybody would be hailing him as a bargain contract. Instead he's had to carry inadequate partners for three seasons. It finally came home to roost last season.
