Jack Quinn is out 4-6 months after rupturing his achillies. At the very earliest he probably won't be available until the beginning of 2024 if than.

I'm fully aware of that. I would still love that guy on the Canes. Sure, a ruptured Achilles is a terrible injury, but he's also 21 years old.

They will reject it but this is a trade Kevyn Adams would benefit from. I think Buffalo just about win this trade but I also think it’s a win win scenario. The Sabres doesn’t necessarily need him, they have plenty of top prospects waiting for a chance to prove themselves, and I bet one of them could turn out to be about as good. The Pesce addition is definitely enough to make playoff dreams real. Samuelsson gets demoted to the 3rd pair and a brilliant defense is established

Did you miss the part where the Canes had a guy tear his Achilles and got five while games out of him? What's the definition of insanity? Also, WAY too much for a dude that cannot stand up unassisted right now. When he's shown he's fully healthy, maybe, but this is also going to impact his development.

All Sabre fans will roast me, but this is a very good trade for Buffalo PROVIDED they could extend Pesce at a reasonable cap hit.
Quinn has the potential to be as good as Cozens, 30 goals and 70 pts, but there are Benson, Kulich, Savoie, Ostlun, Wahlberg etc waiting in the wings to play in the NHL.
Over the past 7 years, Buffalo has drafted really well adding as many as 14 potential NHL top six forwards, or top four defense men, that late first round pick just may produce another Kulich.
While not top prospects Honka and Koivunen could add depth if not in the NHL the AHL.

Quinn would be missed, but this would be a good trade for Buffalo.

21 years old vs. 34 years old. HUGE difference there.

Achillies injuries are Achillies injuries. EK has not been the same since he did his back in Ottawa... we'll see what happens with Quinn, but I'd still be hesistent

Tough to see the Sabres moving Quinn
Especially not for a rental

And it’s hard to see Pesce as anything but a rental, since we’d be unlikely to give him the contract he wants when we’re already giving Dahlin & Power huge contracts
