I dont think Kent Hugues think that way. Now next year you have over 5,5 millions in cap hit i don’t
Think that there enough incentive to pull the trigger.

Too bad Edmonton is on Petry's no trade list.

Reportedly the 3 teams that have the most interest in him, Is Buffalo, Dallas and Detroit. And i doubt he'd even waive for Dallas.

Petry's performance v Elites fell off a cliff last year. I wouldn't trade Ceci for him 1-for-1 let alone adding picks.

The problem isn’t Mtl cap space it’s the return. Petry will attract interest and Hugues will use that at is advantage. If he is willing to take back salary he will adk for a more substantial return.
