Really? Spurgeon is barely worth his contract now and he has four more seasons with it. AND he's going to be 34 in November. If anything I would think Carolina would want something younger that's going to be in his prime through their window.

I love how people think that players with NMC, Are just going to magically waive them. Players have NMC for a reason. And that's basically because they don't want to leave their current team.

Yup? On a site where 99.9% of all trades aren't remotely realistic.

Yeah, right. And where the entire point is to be armchair GM's in fantasy land. Where none of what's posted here has anything to do with real life. Where NMC's don't matter because we're not actually trading these guys in real life.

Kinda confused by this comment because it seems grounded more in personal opinion than reality.

Spurgeon just came off a season where he was a top 10 D man by basically every value metric available. And Tulsky set out to acquire a 37 year old Dman with term last season.

Dont think Carolina is worried about a “window” when you draft/develop/manage the cap as well as them compared to the rest of the league, they’re going to be in the playoffs as long as Tulsky is still running the show.

It might be to long of a contract, but so far he has been worth every penny of his contract.
