Nylander is worth more than that, he’s a lot better player and on more or less the same cap hit

Not sure why the Leafs would do this? I like Reinhart but Willy is better. They are both pending FAs with similar cap hits 🤔

Reinhart would be cheaper to re-sign especially if Leafs are balking at Nylander’s asking price and negotiations aren’t going well

They are negotiating, to say it isn't going well is speculation based on literally nothing. No news is what we have. That's it. That in no way means negotiations aren't going well, it means they are ongoing.

They bring different styles to the game but I think its pretty close. Depending on the AVV of the next contract this could be a big win for the Leaf's.

With that said Nylander could really put up big number in FLA as well
