Veleno isn't getting that. Somewhere around 1.5 mil AAV likely. He had 20 points in 81 games last season.

The Wings have too many forwards, at least one of those waiver exempt guys not named Raymond will be starting in Grand Rapids.

I don’t think so because yesterday I counted 22 bonafide NHLers, including Berggren, which leaves a roster spot available and if they are indeed looking to play a lefty with Larkin (which I truly believe is optimal) then Kasper might be the best in-house solution.
