Devils accept. Normally I'd say we don't need Hanifin but that's a stupidly low price

Retention is probably needed

Don't think the Sens do this. Sens already have Korpi and Forsberg on NHL contracts, with Sogaard waiting in the wings, so they have no need for Vladar.

I also don't think the Sens are at the point where they are trading young roster pieces (JBD and Kastelic) for 1 year of an aging bottom 6 guy.

Wouldn’t trade Merilainen if I’m the sens, he’s a real good prospect. Also, no need for Vladar

Oh dear...

Sens would rather have 20 y/o prospect Leevi Meriläinen than Daniel Vladar. They have Forsberg and Korpisalo for several more years (which should be good as long as healthy), which gives time for Sogaard and Meriläinen to develop

Marcus Foligno is 32 y/o and UFA-to-be

Kastelic is 8 years younger, cheap, cost controlled, great on face-offs, good defensively and very physical. Subtracting him offsets adding Foligno

So to do this, Sens would also sacrifice their best defensive prospect, who is RHD to boot?

Very easy no. Would still be no even if you remove JBD

It would still be stupid to do so unless it's a much much bigger impact player.

In no world a rental Foligno brings back these 2

Learn how cap space works plz. Also if the Devils wanted Hanifin they would got him in the Toff deal. they dont need or want him. the Devils are NOT in a win now mode tf are you on. Hey guys i guess making playoffs first time since 2018 is now a WIN NOW mode. But how about them Canes? they are in a win now mode? or NYR? i swear ppl are just brain dead clowns. I dont think you understand the words Win now mode. Cuz CBJ and NJD arent there, they are in need to make playoffs mode but again your a clown.

I agree this would be one of the last moves the Sens would do. Because also we don't have the cap space to be acquiring players over 2M, unless we are trading Joseph or Kubalik out (or both) to save cap with the trade.

Also doesn't make sense for the Sens to trade JBD and Kastelic who are both organization needs

Moving JBD creates a hole in the future on RD, moving Kastelic for Foligno creates a big hole at 4th line Center.

For sure. And we can't afford Foligno unless if we trade Kubalik and Joseph (we still need to sign Pinto) which then in that case we might as well just keep Kubalik or Joseph instead, as they are younger and better.

Why would Miller be a want for Calgary? My thought would be a couple pcs from the prospect pool, no?
