Palat and his NMC says hell no to Arizona.

And the salary cap for next season is set at $87,500,000 20 man roster is just asking for trouble.

AZ wants no part of a 32 yo middle 6 W w 4 x 6m yikes. a late 1st and 2nd are good sweetners but not nearly enough for that contract

So we get a winger that scored 30 more points by keeping our future goalie and top pairing dman in the AHL, trading multiple firsts and seconds, trading Palat (impossible with NMC) and losing a ton of depth

Has he ever actually looked at Mercer's stats and compared them to Nylander's at the same age? Or spent more than five seconds thinking about the salary cap?

They were insistent that Nylander at 9.5m is better surplus value than Mercer at 7m. They were actually really rude about it.
