laugh Dude Suter is not waiving his NMC for Montreal get real, He won't waive for any Canadian team. This has already been mentioned in the past.

Habs are not doing that. They would have to basically pay retention and salary of Suter for 3rd and 7th ?

Taking a cap dump back and retaining 50% = a 1st round pick from a contender.

Otherwise MTL just waits for injuries to pile up on a team

Again, Montreal would be saving approx. $13M in dead money by not doing that trade. You can keep your low 3rd.

Suter declines, MTL washes their eyes with bleach to forget what they had just seen, and Petry declines because Texas isn't Michigan (nor is it overly close either).
